Never use wheel cleaner without knowing what types of cleaners are safe for the wheel’s finish. Using the wrong wheel cleaners can result in staining and discoloration. Using acidic cleaner on polished aluminum wheels will cause stains that could require polishing to fix the mistake, however using these cleaners on chrome wheels will not stain or discolor the finish.
